Applications are invited for the post of a Raja Jwala Prasad Postdoctoral fellowship. The postdoctoral fellow is supposed to investigate the molecular regulators of neural stem cell fate determination using the Drosophila model system. 

The upper age limit- 45 years: (5 years relaxation for female/​SC/​ST, Physically Handicapped Candidate). All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules. The candidate with experience in the relevant area will be preferred.

Salary/​stipend of Rs. 60,000/-pm + HRA Rs. 10,000/-pm sanctioned under the Institution of Eminence (IoE) Scheme of BHU for the duration of one year. In addition, a contingency amount of Rs. 50,000/- per annum will be provided. Fellows will also have access to comprehensive benefits, including health services, a library and access to other resources, as per BHU rules. 

The Candidate should hold a Ph.D degree in Zoology/​Life Sciences/​Biochemistry/​Biotechnology/​Molecular Biology/​Molecular & Human Genetics. 

Desirable: The candidate with experience in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques and understanding of genetics with evidence of original research publications will be given preference.
