Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (01) at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi- 221 005.. The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project.

The upper age limit- 28 years: (5 years relaxation for female/​SC/​ST, 3 years for OBC/​Physically Handicapped Candidate). All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.

The Candidate should hold M.Sc. in Zoology/​LifeSciences/​Biochemistry/​Bioinformatics/​Biotechnology/​MolecularBiology/​Molecular & Human Genetics or related area with at list 55% marks, must have qualified NET/GATE.

The candidate with experience in the relevant area will be preferred.

Desirable Qualifications: Under the project we will study the global transcription profile in diverse glial cell types thus candidate having knowledge of programming, languages like Python and java and understanding of statistical tool like R will be given preference. Further, the candidate with experience of handling large datasets of DNA and RNA sequencing will be given preference.
