Postdoctoral Fellow
Profile
We invite applications for a postdoctoral position to study mitochondrial regulation of NK cell activation and tumor immunity. This is for a collaborative project between TIFR Hyderabad and ACTREC-Tata Memorial Centre.
Our research aims to decipher how cancer cells modulate NK cell metabolism and mitochondrial function to evade immune surveillance — and how we can reverse this process for therapeutic benefit. The project involves working with human immune and cancer cells to uncover how metabolic pathways and mitochondrial dynamics shape NK cell function.
Qualification
The applicant should hold a Ph.D degree in Science or M.D or M.S degree in any area of medicine.
Experience
The following are desirable experience for this position:
- Strong experience in human cell culture, immune cell isolation, and functional assays
- Expertise in molecular biology/genetics and cell signaling
- Protein biochemistry
- Background in tumor immunology or related cancer research
- Experience with metabolic assays, mitochondrial biology
- Imaging
To Apply
Please send a concise write-up regarding your research interests and a detailed CV to training@tifrh.res.in.
The application and/or related queries may be addressed to Dr. Anand Vaidya (TIFRH), Dr. Manish Jaiswal (TIFRH), and Dr. Prasanna Venkatraman (ACTREC-Tata Memorial Centre).
They look forward to welcoming a motivated and curious postdoctoral researcher to join our dynamic and interdisciplinary team.
Candidates eligible for the National Postdoctoral Fellowship (N‑PDF) from DST/ANRF are strongly encouraged to apply. Application deadline for N‑PDF is June 30, 2025.
