Profile

Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a CSIR- ASPIRE research project.

Age limit: Not more than 28 years on the date of application. The age relaxation upto 5 years in the case of scheduled castes/​tribes/​OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates.

Duration

03 years (Initially 1 year; extendable upto three years based on performance)

Money

JRF salary @ Rs 37,000 p.m. + HRA for the first two years; @ Rs 42,000 p.m. + HRA for third year (as per prevailing CSIR norms).

Qualification

BS 4 years program/​BPharm/​MBBS/​Integrated BS-MS/MSc in Biotechnology/​Life Sciences/​Botany or equivalent degree, with 55% marks and passing of NET/GATE test in life science domain (Qualifying NET/GATE score in the life science domain is a mandatory requirement).

Experience

Desirable: Expertise in plant tissue culture techniques, in-vitro mutagenesis, isolation of microbes, DNA isolation, purification, quantification, and amplification, molecular marker based genetic diversity analysis, knowledge of software/​programs used for genetic diversity analysis and statistical analysis like POPGENE, Arlequin, XLSTAT, GenAlEx 6, SPSS, sigma plot etc.
