Communications Associate
Profile
The Communications program at Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms is looking for a dynamic, self-driven and proactive individual with a keen eye for presentation, outreach and networking at the interface of science/technology and communications. The selected candidate shall join the team as Communications Associate. In this position, she/he will report directly to the C‑CAMP Comms Lead. The Associate shall be responsible for supporting the Team in researching, creating, curating and managing content for all C‑CAMP outreach efforts including text-based, graphical, A/V content. She/he will work closely with all Program Leads, as well as the Team in order to capture and present news, data, impact of all C‑CAMP’s programs in Technology Platforms, Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Translation. She/he must be able to work both on independent as well as collaborative ideas, have good interpersonal skills and an ability to multi-task.
Duration
Initially for a period of three months with a provisional full-time employment opportunity based on performance assessment at the end of the term.
Money
Shall be commensurate with qualification and experience
Qualification
Bachelors (Master’s preferred) in Mass Communications or Life Sciences or related subject with demonstrable experience in technical or business writing or any other science communication related projects through published/referenced work.
Experience
Desired Experience:
- Scientific writing or editing
- Social media management
- Video editing, animations
- Active interest in photography and scientific illustration
- Familiarity with emerging social media tools
