DBT/​Wellcome Trust India Alliance (henceforth, India Alliance) invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Science Communications and Public Engagement (SCoPE) – Consultant.

Job Description: For a short term contract in the communications team. The incumbent will work closely with the CEO and other members of management to develop content to promote the visibility of the organization to external and internal audiences. The responsibilities include the following:

• Working with stakeholders, such as development and fundraising teams, to ensure that communication and engagement efforts align with broader institutional goals.
• Generating consolidated reports for funders
• Working closely with the leadership to enhance the visibility and impact of the organisation
• Liaising and coordinating with researchers and other stakeholders to identify and communicate research developments in a way that is accessible and engaging to the public.
• Ensuring that all communication materials are accurate, well-written, and conform to institutional branding guidelines.

The remuneration for this post will be based on qualifications and experience.

PhD in Life Science/​Biological Sciences/​related areas

• Permission to work in India.
• Work experience in science communications and content development.
• Awareness of science, research and policy ecosystem in India, and the larger international context.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
