Exploring differential gene regulation in brain of normal rats deprived of Rapid Eye Movement (REM) Sleep and Parkinson’s ‑induced REM Sleep deprived rat models

Profile

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB funded research project under Dr. Rachna Mehta, Principal Investigator, Amity Institute of Neuropsychology & Neurosciences, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, Noida

Duration

The project is for a duration of 36 months approx. as per rules of DST SERB. The candidate will be appointed on an annual basis. The extension would be based on the performance of the candidate and is co terminus with the project duration.

Money

The fellowship and HRA (if applicable) will be as per DST-SERB rules: 31,000 plus 16% HRA

Qualification

M.Sc. in any Branch of Life Sciences including but not restricted to Biochemistry/​Biotechnology/​Biophysics/​Physiology/​Zoology from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA

Experience

Desirable Work Experience: Candidates with qualified NET/GATE/CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR JRF and Hands-on experience in Molecular biology techniques and Protein Biochemistry are encouraged to apply. In addition, candidates having studied paper in any branch of neuroscience and hands-on experience in animal (rat) handling would be preferred.
