Project Description: The project goal involves three dimensional characterization of HEV-methyl transferase enzyme and identification of its inhibitor using virtual screening and wet lab confirmation of the enzyme inhibition. This will involve techniques in Molecular Biology, Virology, Biophysics, Biochemistry and Baculovirus Expression Vector System. 

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Department of Bio Technology (DBT) sponsored project, ​“Structural Characterization and inhibitor development for Hepatitis E Virus ‑Methyl transferase” under the investigator, Professor Deepak Sehgal, Head, Department of Life Sciences, School of Natural Sciences, Shiv Nadar University. 

36 months (purely temporary) 

Selected JRF will get Rs. 25000 + HRA per month (first two years) & Rs. 28000 + HRA per month (3^rd Year) as per DBT norms. 

Master’s degree in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Life Science with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university.
