The 8^th International Conference on Translational Cancer Research being organized by the Department of Biochemistry, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University under the auspices of Society for Translational Cancer Research (STCR). The theme of the conference will revolve around ​“Inflammation and Immune System for Cancer Prevention and Treatment”. The conference will be held from February 13 – 16, 2020.

The STCR was founded in 2005 with a mission to bring clinicians and scientists under one roof to promote collaborations and find new cures against cancer. Since then, STCR has organized seven highly successful conferences in various cities of India. Among others, the past conferences were inaugurated by the President of India Late Dr. Abdul P. J. Kalam, Vice President of India Mr. Hamid Ansari, Chief Minister of Orissa Mr. Navin Patnaik, and Governor of Rajasthan Mr. Shiv Raj Patil.

The 2018 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded in the field of Cancer immunotherapy. The major aim of 8^th international conference is to bring together academicians, scientists, clinicians, industrialists, and students from all over the globe to discuss current knowledge on inflammation and immune system to combat cancer. The conference will provide a strong platform for sharing ideas and to foster collaborations.
