Applications are invited for the post of Project Assistant in the Department of Radiation Oncology, Unit II, Christian Medical College, Vellore. The Quantitative Imaging Research and Artificial Intelligence lab (https://​qirail​.cmcvel​lore​.edu​.in/) uses radiological image descriptors (Radiomics) to investigate their role in predicting disease outcome, classification etc. in cancer.

The position is purely temporary; initially, the selection will be made for one year and will be extendable yearly based on the performance of the candidate. The selected candidate can opt to register for a Ph.D under Maastricht University, Netherlands subject to the fulfillment of the requirements of the University.

Project Assistant will be paid a stipend based on experience and will be employed under the project as per existing rules at Christian Medical College, Vellore. Accommodation not provided. 

M.Sc (Data Science, Physics, Maths, Statistics, Computer Science or Bioinformatics only) / B. Tech with minimum 65% marks or equivalent grade from any recognized University.

• Excellent communication skills both in verbal and writing in English
• Be able to organize your own work with minimal supervision and prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Experience in image processing or data science will be highly considered
