Applications are invited for the post of Project Assistant funded by the India Alliance in Department of Radiation Oncology, Christian Medical College, Vellore.

The Radiation Oncology imaging lab uses radiological image descriptors (Radiomics) to investigate their role in predicting disease outcome in cancer. The successful candidate will contribute in projects with experiments related to image harmonization and machine learning based outcome prediction model development. The person will also assist in daily operations of the lab including coordinating patient recruitment and consent, basic image processing, organizing and performing statistical analyses on datasets from imaging, handling data back up and contributing to research proposals, articles, and presentations. Training and mentorship specific to the project will be provided.

The position is purely temporary; initially the selection will be made for one year with a 3‑month probation and will be extendable yearly based on performance of the candidate to the maximum duration of 3 years. Selected candidate can register for Ph.D, subject to the fulfilment of the requirements of the University.

Project Assistant will be provided a stipend based on experience and will be employed under the project as per existing rules at Christian Medical College, Vellore.

M.Sc. in any discipline of Sciences / B.Tech with minimum 65% marks or equivalent grade from any recognized University.

Programming skills mandatory — preferably Python.

• Excellent communication skills both in verbal and writing in English.
• Be able to organize your own work with minimal supervision and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
• Experience in image processing or data science will be highly considered.
