Applications are invited for the post of Project Research Scientist‑I (Non-Medical) position in an ICMR funded project at the Department of Pharmacology, Sri Ramchandra Faculty of Pharmacy, SRIHER (DU), Chennai, Tamilnadu. The selected candidate will be encouraged to register for the Ph.D. according to SRIHER (DU) University rules.

The primary focus areas of the project 

  1. Conduct and oversee integrative chemical-phosphoproteomics analysis
  2. Design and perform genetic editing techniques.
  3. Conduct In-Silico and In vitro assays.
  4. Writing project progress reports and manuscripts

Rs. 56,000/-p.m + HRA (@27%) =Rs. 71,120/-

Qualification

First class Postgraduate degree or second class postgraduate degree with the completion of a Ph.D in arelevant subject area or equivalent is required. The Ph.D should focus on aspects of cellular biology, molecular oncology, pharmacology, chemical biology, or a closely related field.

Experience

  • Candidates having experience in proteomics will be preferred 
  • Experience in gene editing techniques and robust understanding of molecular biology principles are highly desirable 
  • Candidates with practical experience in cell culture techniques will be preferred
