Role Of Tumor Derived Heme In Cancer Progression

Profile

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow position in a DBT funded project at the Department of Human Genetics, Faculty of Biomedical Sciences and Technology, SRIHER (DU), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The selected candidate will be encouraged to register for the Ph.D. according to SRIHER (DU) University rules.

  1. Conduct in vitro and ex vivo cell culture assays
  2. Collect and curate clinical samples
  3. Design and perform genetic knockdown experiments
  4. Writing progress reports and manuscripts

Age limit is 28 years

Duration

Three years or till end of project.

Money

37000 +HRA. for CSIR-NET/UGC-NET/GATE/ICAR-JRF or NET/DBT- JRF, CUET/CUCET for Ph.D. or any other equivalent National Level examinations.

Qualification

MSc in Biotechnology/​Microbiology/​Biochemistry/​Botany/​Zoology/​Environmental Science/​Life Sciences or any other equivalent disciplines with a minimum 55% mark or CGPA.

Experience

Desirable: Prior hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, gene knockdown assays, immunohistochemistry and scientific writing. Commitment towards a PhD degree.
