NITTE, officially NITTE (Deemed to be University), is an institute of higher education located in Derlakatte, Mangalore, India. It is formed under the Trust of NIITE, a trust sponsored by Nitte Education Trust which has established 31 institutions spread in three campuses at Nitte, Mangalore and Bangalore. The Government of India conferred the status of Deemed-to-be University in June 2008. The institution has been accredited with 'A' grade by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC).

PhD Fellowship Notification: Applications are invited from candidates with Master's degree, seeking admission to the course of study leading to the award of a degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in the faculty of Medical (Pre, Para & Clinical Medicine) / Dental / Pharmacy / Nursing / Physiotherapy / Allied Health Science / Biological Sciences and Humanities of the Nitte University. Limited number of Meritorious candidates will receive Nitte (Deemed to be University) PhD Fellowships of Rs. 15,000/- per month for a duration of three years.
