National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) — Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), a premier research Centre is looking for appointment of a Research Scientist/Team Lead for ADBS program at NCBS on a consolidated pay based on their qualification and experience. The appointment will be initially for a period of One (1) year only which may be extended upto maximum of Three (3) years depending on the performance of the candidate.
An exciting opportunity is available for a talented and motivated individual to work within a team pursuing an ambitious program to understand the cellular basis of mental illness. This program, at the Bangalore Life Science Cluster is funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and involves the generation of iPSC-based cellular models of human brain disorders.
Money
Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Qualification
PhD in Bioscience or related discipline.
Experience
A minimum of three years of post-doctoral research experience in cell and molecular biology
- Experience in stem cell biology including iPSC or neural cell-based models.
- Experience in developing and implementing cell-based bioassays.
- Experience in developing and maintaining large collections of biomaterials.
- Ability to lead the work of a team with a track record of working within and managing team-based discovery biology.
