Work Profile:1. Designing & revising syllabus for bioinformatics & teaching bioinformatics theory paper, conducting the bioinformatics practicals for the M.Sc. students in three programmes.2. Planning and executing the research work related to the Bioinformatics for ongoing projects by the faculty, M.Sc., and Ph.D. students3. Responsible for overall maintenance of the facility including allocation of use, anti-virus updates, system upgrades, etc. in coordination with the GSBTM lab4. Preparation and timely submission of work report, budget utilization report, etc.

The appointment will be on adhoc basis initially, for a period of one year. The appointment may be renewed and would be extendable for further two more years based on his/​her performance which would be reviewed at the end of each year.

Salary: Consolidated salary of Rs. 27,000/- per month Entitlement: He/​She will be entitled for contributory provident fund as prescribed by EPF and as per NU norms.

M.Sc. with 3 years of experience in the field of Bioinformatics having publications; OR, Ph.D. with relevant research experience and well versed in the hardware and software required for the field
