Profile
IIT Gandhinagar is seeking a graphic designer to join the Research and Development (R&D) communications team as a Program Associate — I. Responsibilities include creating graphics for various purposes, including R&D publications, RnD social media series, web portals, blogs, infographics, and promotional materials.
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), CorelDRAW, Blender, etc. related software.
- Candidates should be able to develop creative and innovative design concepts for a wide range of R&D projects, including but not limited to posters, brochures, infographics, digital advertisements, social media graphics, newsletters, annual magazines, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with researchers, faculty, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of new creative initiatives aimed at promoting and highlighting research excellence at IITGN.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Duration
Full-time for one year on a contract (with the possibility of extension based on performance)
Money
INR 45,000 — 70,000 (Remuneration will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience)
Qualification
The candidates must have a graduate or postgraduate degree in graphic design/Fine arts/Visual communication or a related field. Experience in science illustration would be an asset. OR
Candidates must have a graduate or postgraduate degree in Science/Technology/Engineering fields with proven 1 – 2 years of work experience as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity.
