Profile

IIT Gandhinagar is looking for two project associates for its Leadership Development Initiative (LDI), which strives to promote leadership skills among students with workshops, modules, short courses, events, etc. The initiative also integrates with other experiential leadership opportunities and programmes during a student’s lifecycle at IIT Gandhinagar.

The Project Associates will work closely and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to organize, coordinate, and oversee the leadership skill development programme.

The Project Associate’s responsibilities include:

  • Develop and promote campus-wide leadership development initiatives
  • Execution of comprehensive and dynamic leadership events in collaboration with students and faculty
  • Engage with and cultivate students and student groups to promote participation in LDI programs
  • Facilitate and implement workshops, lectures, and other training programmes and events
  • Initiate and coordinate internal and external communication in terms of various reports, Websites, newsletters, social media posts, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in developing leadership development programmes
  • Engage with students; stay informed about student practices and requirements
  • Research/​learn global best practices for the enhancement and strategic development of the programme
  • Develop evaluation mechanisms and framework, including goals and objectives, metrics, monitoring, and reporting
  • Strengthen partnerships with external resource people and stakeholders to advance the programme

Duration

1 year (may be extended based on periodic performance evaluation of the candidate)

Money

50,000 INR (per month)

Qualification

  • Master’s degree in organizational leadership, applied behavioural sciences, HR, or related field preferred
  • 1st class or equivalent in Master’s degree with consistently good (>= 1st Division) academic record (class 10 onwards) (Candidates showcasing exceptional experience and skill set may be exempted from this)
  • Three years of professional experience in leadership development, training, organizational or policy development
  • Strong management, organizational, and planning skills
  • Strong interest and ability to engage with student groups around personal, professional, and leadership development
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
