Profile

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the project funded by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM), DST, Government of Gujarat. This post is purely temporary and coterminous with the project.

Age Limit: Upto 28 years as on the last date of application and as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.

Money

  • For NET/​GATE/​equivalent exams qualified candidates: Rs. 31,000 + HRA per month for first two years and Rs. 35,000 + HRA per month for third year
  • For others (Non-NET/GATE/Equivalent exam qualified candidates): Rs. 23,213/- per month for first two years and Rs. 27,300/- per month for third year

Qualification

M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry/​Microbiology/​Biotechnology/​Other relevant area of Life Sciences with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.

Experience

Desirable:

  • NET/​GATE/​equivalent exams qualified candidates shall be preferred
  • Candidates with laboratory experience in handling molecular biology techniques, basic microbial methods, enzymatic and other allied analytical methods, proficiency in scientific writing, and basic bioinformatics tools may have the advantage
  • Candidates awaiting results may also apply. However, their eligibility for final selection is subject to their satisfactory qualification of the minimum eligibility at the time of interview
