INR 40,000 per month + tuition fee waiver

The applicant must have completed a Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in Life Sciences or related disciplines, including Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Toxicology, Bioinformatics, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, and Forensic Sciences (Biology/​Chemistry), or an equivalent degree in biological sciences. In exceptional cases, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences may be admitted, subject to completion of additional credits as per Ahmedabad University’s PhD policy.

Shortlisted applicants who meet the eligibility criteria will be required to appear for an online entrance test. Candidates who qualify the test will be invited for a first round of online interviews. Applicants who have already qualified national-level examinations such as CSIR-NET, GATE, or equivalent exams that confer eligibility for PhD admission in India are exempt from the entrance test and may directly appear for the online interviews. Candidates shortlisted through the online interviews will be invited to Ahmedabad University for the final round of in-person interviews. Housing support will be provided in accordance with university policy.
