AIIMS Guwahati has started a broad-based fulltime research program leading to award of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from July 2024 session with an idea that Research work may exemplify the development of new interventions, development of new biomarkers, testing of new scientific ideas or gaining insight into biological processes and health sciences. The Ph.D. degree would be awarded to a candidate, who will work full time as per the program regulations, and will submit a thesis on the basis of original research work done by him/​her in any discipline-specific or multidisciplinary area, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in Medical, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences. The prospective candidates are also likely to innovate methods of application of existing knowledge in Medical, Nursing and allied Health Sciences. The basic objective of Ph.D. course is to enhance the scientific capacities of researchers and scientists in the field of Medical, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences. The vision of the institute is to provide excellent opportunities for research work in the modern era of biomedical sciences with the developing state of art infrastructure and facilities

The application for admission to the PhD program will be made available on AIIMS, Guwahati official website i.e. www​.aiims​guwa​hati​.ac​.in. The link for submission of online applications along with other relevant information will be activated on the date of notification.

Any Amendment/​Rectification/​Change/​Editing in the application is NOT allowed after final submission of application. Applicants may note that any correspondence will NOT be entertained in this regard. Inadequately filled / incomplete applications will be summarily rejected
