Antimicrobial Peptide-Based Inhibition of AgrC as a Novel Strategy to Target Virulence and Antimicrobial Resistance in Staphylococcus aureus funded by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)

Profile

Applicants should hold an M.Sc., M.Tech or PhD degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, or related disciplines. A strong background in microbiology and molecular biology is expected, along with hands-on experience in core microbiological techniques, including qRT-PCR and biofilm studies. Familiarity with antimicrobial resistance research is highly desirable. Experience in computational peptide design and prior exposure to handling mouse models will be considered an added advantage.

Duration

Initially one year (extendable based on performance).

Money

As per ICMR norms: Project Research Scientist – I (Non-Medical) @ Rs. 56,000/- P.M. + HRA 30% @ 16,800/-P.M.

Qualification

M.Sc. / M. Tech/​PhD in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Molecular Biology or related disciplines.
