Doctoral Research Fellows
Project
Profile
The project aims is to illuminate the lipid and cyclic nucleotides-regulated signaling and its impact on the pathogenesis, persistence and adaptation of the intracellular pathogen Toxoplasma gondii. The work will help us fathom the network design principle in this clinically-relevant parasite with respect to its mammalian host cells, which is vital to find specific diagnostic and intervention strategies. The underlying research blends the bottom-up methods of advanced genome engineering, cell biology and biochemistry with multi-omics (transcriptomics, phosphoproteomics), bioinformatics and optogenetics. If and as necessary, we will develop and adopt new tools to advance the work.
Duration
5 years.
Money
31000 INR/month.
