Applications are invited for the position of Teaching Fellow (TF) for Biology courses for the academic year 2023 – 24. These positions will start in the monsoon term (late August).

The duties of a TF include attending lectures, helping the professor with grading and other logistics, in addition to leading one discussion session (DS) per section each week. In DSs and during office hours a TF is expected to help students understand the ideas and concepts introduced in the course. The total workload per week is expected to be around 20 hours. Please apply for the position only if you are available to work on-site at Ashoka campus. The classes will be held offline at Ashoka.

The appointment will be for one semester starting from the third week of August 2023. Ashoka helps TFs find accommodation in apartments in the neighbourhood of the university. The compensation will be around 33,000.00 pm per course. A TF can take up two courses per semester. Other terms will be as per Ashoka University policies.

Applicants must have completed Masters in Biology (or allied areas) from a recognized institution. Applicants who exhibit strong skills in undergraduate level Biology subjects with a background in chemical and physical sciences will be given higher consideration.
