Profile
We are seeking a highly motivated researcher with good qualitative skills to work in a translational project on ‘Optimising antibiotic use along surgical pathways: addressing antimicrobial resistance and improving clinical outcomes’, funded by a UK funder, the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). The work would focus on how antibiotic use can be optimised along the entire surgical pathway.
The post-holder will work alongside Dr. Sanjeev Singh (Medical Superintendent, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences) and other researchers on the project and play a pivotal role in driving this project forward, carrying out research and feeding back data and findings across the project as necessary. Travel throughout India, to the UK, and potentially South Africa, sometimes for extended periods of time will be necessary.

Money
Salary in the region of 700000 to 800000 INR per annum
Qualification
Masters degree or equivalent in a health or social science subject (for example psychology, social science, health management, anthropology)
Experience
Experience of behavioural social science, ability to communicate effectively with senior health and management staff, excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write for academic publications and grant reporting, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
