Research Associate/Fellow (Operational Research/Quantitative)

Profile
We are seeking a highly motivated researcher with good quantitative skills to work in a translational project on ‘Optimising antibiotic use along surgical pathways: addressing antimicrobial resistance and improving clinical outcomes’, funded by a UK funder, the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). The work would focus on how antibiotic use can be optimised along the entire surgical pathway.
The post-holder will work alongside Dr. Sanjeev Singh (Medical Superintendent, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences) and other researchers on the project and play a pivotal role in driving this project forward, carrying out research and feeding back data and findings across the project as necessary. Travel throughout India, to the UK, and potentially South Africa, sometimes for extended periods of time will be necessary.
Necessary training will be provided.

Money
Salary in the region of 700000 to 800000 INR per annum
Qualification
Postgraduate degree in Operational Research/Management Science/Business Analytics with a focus on Simulation Modelling
Experience
Proven experience of undertaking quantitative research in a healthcare context, and/or in an international context is desirable, but not essential, ability to interpret highly complex data and present information to influence decision makers, both in India and overseas, ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write for academic publications and grant reporting, ability to work independently and as part of a team
