Identification of the molecular mechanism of degenerative disc disease using high-resolution mass spectrometry

Profile

A Junior Research Fellow position is available at the Yenepoya Research Centre (YRC) for the ICMR funded project for 3 years.

The research fellow will work on studying the molecular mechanism associated with degenerative disc disease. The research fellow will work with close association with clinicians. The research fellow will work in a multi-disciplinary area by employing cutting edge technologies such as mass spectrometry based proteomics and metabolomics approaches and other molecular biology techniques. The fellow may also involve in bioinformatics analysis.

Duration

The selected candidate will be appointed initially for one year which may be extended for three years based on progress and candidate performance.

Money

Rs. 31,000/-pm and 18% HRA

Qualification

Candidates who have an M.Sc in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or any other interdisciplinary branch of life science may apply as a Junior research fellow.

Experience

  • The candidate should qualified NET/GATE
  • Candidates with a good academic record, experience in research especially in the field of proteomics and metabolomics.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English are desirable
