An immediate postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the Tushir-Singh’s Laboratory of Novel Biologics at the University of Virginia, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics to study Antibody therapeutics in Cancer. Our research is highly translational and is focused on generating “moon shot” efforts to find the cure for cancer. More details can be found at

Our laboratory has broad interest in Bi-specific Antibodies, Receptor-Target Biology, Antibody engineering, Antibody-siRNA-conjugates and Cancer biology. We use DNA engineering based approaches supported by functional testing to evaluate and develop better technologies directed toward bispecific antibody platforms and Antibody-RNA conjugates in the cancer immunotherapy space.
To support our current ongoing activities, we are looking for a postdoctoral scientist with experience in protein engineering, optimization and characterization. Experience with flow cytometry is must to be considered. From the model system perspective, we will prefer a candidate with strong background in basic immunology, T‑cell biology, relevant immunological assays, PBMCs handling. In addition experience with siRNA design, cell culture, HPLC, animal handing and tumor xenografts is highly desirable.

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1) MD and/or PhD in molecular biology, Immunology, cell biology or relevant scientific discipline 2) Experience in Cancer cell biology and general cell signaling 3) Excellent communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1) Experience with T‑cells and other immunological techniques
2) Experience with Flow Cytometry, HPLC, and animal handling, and tumor xenografts is highly desirable
