Profile

An immediate DoD funded postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the laboratories of Drs. Tushir-Singh and Bhatnagar for a collaborative study focusing on the epigenome of breast cancer and development of breast cancer immunotherapy. The successful candidate will split time equally in the Tushir-Singh and Bhatnagar laboratories located next to each other. More details can be found at:

Our laboratories have a broad interest in receptor-target biology, epigenetic alterations in cancer and use of antibody engineering to generate effective cancer therapies. We use functional screens to identify effective targets and DNA engineering based approaches to evaluate and develop bispecific antibody platforms and antibody-RNA conjugates in the cancer immunotherapy space. For additional information about the project you may contact Dr. Tushir-Singh (js2yr@virginia.edu) and/or Dr. Bhatnagar (sb5fk@virginia.edu).

To support our current ongoing activities, we are looking for a postdoctoral Research Associate with experience in protein engineering, optimization and characterization. From the model system perspective, we would prefer a candidate with a strong background in basic molecular biology and immunology. In addition, experience with PBMCs handling, high throughput sequencing (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq), HPLC, animal handing and tumor xenografts is highly desirable.

UVA offers an exciting working environment, the possibility to interact with interdisciplinary research groups, and competitive salary and benefits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Participate in planning, designing and executing technical and complex research projects, as assigned under the direction of a supervisor
