Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Fellow (on contract) in a research project entitled “Surveillance of Emerging Antimicrobial Resistance Patterns In Local Hospitals And Communities Of Delta Districts Of Tamil Nadu” in reference to the sanction letter for file number SAN/CSR/05/2025 – 26 dated 24.03.2026, by HEFA-CSR.
Research Experience & Achievements:
- Preferably a minimum of 2 years of experience in an academic or research setting.
- Must have cleared a national-level eligibility test such as GATE, NET, or an equivalent examination.
- Must have published at least one research article in an UGC approved/SCI/Scopus journal.
Age Limit: Maximum of 32 years as of the application deadline (age relaxation applicable as per institutional/government norms).
Desirable Skills: The applicant may be preferred if they have relevant experience in antimicrobial resistance, phage therapy, NGS, whole genome sequencing, Sanger sequencing, metagenomics, sequencing data analysis, sample collection and culturing resistant pathogens.

Duration
Initially for one year, and extended for the next two years based on performance.
Money
Consolidated pay of Rs. 42,000
Qualification
M.Sc. in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
Experience
- A minimum cumulative score of 65% (or an equivalent CGPA/CGPI) in the qualifying degree.
- Candidates with PhD degree from a recognized institution also may apply.
