The Wellcome Trust/​DBT India Alliance is a public charity registered in India since 2008. It is funded equally by the Wellcome Trust, UK and Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, with the broad aim of building excellence in biomedical research in India by selecting and supporting future leaders in the field. In addition to its research fellowships, India Alliance supports an integrated research ecosystem that values ethics, good management and the public communication of science to enhance knowledge and drive policy. One year (renewable); contractual 

The remuneration will be based on experience and the value it brings to India Alliance

The person or organization should have — 

• Permission to work in India and presence in Hyderabad or New Delhi, preferably latter 
• Good knowledge of the science, research and policy ecosystem in India, and the larger international context 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English 
• Good time management skills and able to work with tight deadlines 

At least five years of experience in a Communications role, especially in press relations

This is not a regular staff, but a Consultant position to provide external inputs and support to India Alliance. The remuneration will be based on experience and the value it brings to India Alliance.
