Profile
The appointed NIBMG Fellow will be responsible for running his/her research laboratory to the highest international standards, do teaching of PhD and integrated PhD students, carry out some amount of administrative duties. Very generous start up grants will be provided to the successful applicants. The institute also usually provides very competitive intramural funding as compared to other institutes in India. However, the candidates have to apply for competitive extramural funds (both in India and abroad) as intramural funding is not guaranteed. He/she shall assist the Director / Associate Directors in such matters as may be determined by the Director from time to time and shall also exercise such powers and perform duties as may be assigned by the Director /Associate Directors.

Duration
Initial appointment will be for 03 (three) years, extendable up to 02 (Two) more years after yearly evaluation post 3 years.
Money
Consolidated Pay Rs. 1,00,000/- (One Lakh Only) with HRA 18500/- (Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred only) Accommodation is available inside the Campus.
Qualification
Ph.D. in any branch of Life Sciences or Statistical Science or Computational Science or Genetic Epidemiological Science of relevance in Biomedical Genomics OR M.D or M.D./MTech.
Experience
The candidate must have 03 years of postdoctoral research experience with a track record of high-quality scientific publications.
Desirable Qualification:
Should have capability to conduct research independently in Cancer Biology or Genome Biology or Microbiology or Infection & Immunity using Genomics as the central tool. The candidate should have documented expertise and publications in any of the following: Genome editing using human cells or any model organism, Chromosome biology, Single cell/spatial genomics or imaging/microscopic techniques, translational capability, drug screening.
