NCBS is looking for a self-driven and motivated candidate with interest in host-pathogen interaction studies. The primary responsibility of the job is to design and perform laboratory experiments with rigour and thorough documentation to complete an ongoing project on protein-protein interaction. The tasks include but not limited to generating new constructs, purifying proteins and performing interaction studies using a variety of techniques.

Age limit: 35 years

12 months, extendible

Remuneration will be equivalent to Project Associate I or II as per DST/DBT norms, depending on experience and qualification.

Master’s degree in Biological Sciences with 60% of marks, or B. Tech degree in biosciences.

Essential:

• 1 – 2 year(s) experience in Molecular biology, recombinant protein expression and purification and protein interaction studies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Good organizational and documentation skills
• Knowledge in the use of personal computers and their applications

Desirable:

• Have fellowship such as UGC/CSIR NET
• Good knowledge of protein structures and simulation
