National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) — Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), is a premier research institute engaged in research in life sciences across scale. Several research facilities and associated infrastructure helps in providing cutting edge technology and support research. Several of these facilities not only provide support to the researchers within the institute, but also academia and industry nationally and internationally.

NCBS is proud to launch a Science Education Initiative to supplement biology teaching at the high school and undergraduate levels, nurturing future talent in the biological sciences. NCBS invites applications from suitable individuals for the position of Educational Resources Coordinator on fixed term basis. 

Responsibilities

• Assemble learning resources and instructional modules based on research areas at NCBS that are relevant to science education when required, in collaboration with research students and scientists.
• Coordinating with faculty to plan and produce educational videos.
• Ensure high-quality post-production, including sound editing, graphics, and animations where applicable.
• Develop alternative and interactive educational outreach approaches.
• Maintain an organised digital library of video content for easy access and distribution.
• Support public engagement initiatives by NCBS, including science festivals, school visits, or online learning modules. 

Age limit: 35 years as on 01.07.2024

Salary will commensurate with experience and qualification.

Master’s degree in any field of science.

• 1 – 2 years of experience working in a similar science outreach role.
• Previous experience in creating digital content.
• Experience in video production software and designing tools.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
