Junior Research Fellow
Project
Profile
Aging leads to dysregulation of bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) which in turn causes hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) dysfunction and increased production of myeloid cells. In this context, defects in beta adrenoreceptor (β‑AR) signaling in MSCs is known to cause HSC dysfunction in aging. The Research Scholar will be involved in delineating the molecular mechanism underlying MSC dysregulation during aging using gene cloning, molecular biology and immunology techniques in animal cell lines and primary cell cultures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance, stimulations and assays using animal cell lines
- Establishment of mouse bone marrow-derived MSC cultures
- Gene cloning and generation of knock out cell lines
- Performing qRT-PCR, ELISA, Western blotting etc.
- Data analysis, data compilation and manuscript writing
Duration
2 Year
Money
Rs. 31,000/ month + free hostel accommodation
Qualification
Master’s in Science degree holders in any field of Biology and Biotechnology
Experience
- Proficiency in molecular biology and immunology techniques
- Hands-on training in gene cloning
- Experience in animal cell culture
