Applications are invited for two posts of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) from eligible persons for research studies funded by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India.

Candidates will be appointed initially for one year which may be extended to the validity of the project i.e up to 3 years based on the assessment of the candidate’s performance. Subject to his/​her performance candidates may also pursue PhD through these projects.

Rs 31,000+HRA for candidates who have qualified national entrance test — CSIR-UGC NET JRF or lecturership (LS), GATE, ICMR-JRF, DBT-JRF.

Postgraduate degree — MSc. or MTech. (with minimum 60% marks or equivalent) in any branch of Life sciences – Biological sciences/​Biotechnology/​Biochemistry/​Genetics.

Candidates who have qualified national entrance examinations such as CSIR-UGC NET JRF or lecturership (LS), GATE, ICMR-JRF, DBT-JRF, INSPIRE will be preferred.

Through this project selected candidates will be working at the interface of basic sciences and clinical research. Candidates should have a excellent academic record, spoken and written communication skills in English, inquisitiveness, perseverance and strong motivation to pursue a career in science.

Prior training in cell, molecular and developmental biology with research experience using molecular and cellular investigation techniques – including but not limited to cell-culture, stem cell culture, cloning, PCR/​qPCR, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence and imaging, western blotting, Drosophila culture and genetics will be highly desirable.
