The Department of Psychology at Ashoka University (https://www.ashoka.edu.in/page/psychology-programme‑9#/section-117) invites applications for full-time tenure track faculty Assistant Professor positions. Ashoka University is a private research-intensive university based near New Delhi, India.

The selected candidates will be expected to have an internationally competitive research profile in any area of Psychological Science (e.g. Cognitive Psychology/​Psychophysics/​Clinical/​Social/​Neuroscience). At Ashoka, we emphasize Psychology as an empirical science. Tenure-track faculty are supported with lab start-up costs and have access to internal research/​travel grants.

The teaching load is comparable to the top universities in the world, and candidates are expected to have a commitment to teaching excellence and to research productivity in psychological science. There is a cap on teaching 2 courses per semester, so that teaching does not take up more than a standard amount of time, and the University actively supports research in various ways.

Candidates are expected to have a PhD by the time of appointment, and candidates nearing the completion of their doctorate will also be considered as long as they obtain their PhD and can start teaching no later than the commencement of the Monsoon semester (August 2021).
