Applications are invited for the position of Scientist‑I (Computational Biology) at Ahammune Biosciences, Pune.

Ahammune Biosciences is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing first-in class therapeutics for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.  Ahammune has developed a pipeline of patented candidate drugs for vitiligo and other autoimmune/​​inflammatory diseases. The lead drug candidate is currently in the clinics undergoing phase 2 clinical trials for vitiligo in India.  Ahammune has a vibrant and research-focused laboratory in Pune and is currently expanding its in-house research operations.

MSc./M.Tech. with a Ph.D. degree in Computational Biology, or a related field, with at least two years job experience working in transcriptome analysis, gene network and pathway analysis. Candidates with a master’s degree and 2 – 4 years job experience in computational biology areas as above are also eligible.

1. Proficient in bioinformatics tools and common software packages for genome/​transcriptome analysis (e.g., RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, Network analysis).
2. Demonstrated experience in programming languages Python, R, or Perl.
3. Experience working with large-scale omics datasets, including transcriptomics, metabolomics, and proteomics data.
4. Deploy AI agents for gene expression analysis, multi-omics analysis and molecular drug target discovery 
5. Strong communication and written skills and working knowledge of biological problems
6. Must have independently designed and executed computational analyses for gene expression and pathway analysis
7. Demonstrated ability for problem-solving and attention to detail.

Desirable Requirements

1. Experience with machine learning techniques applied to biological data.
2. Prior experience in working in collaborative, interdisciplinary computational biology projects 
3. Publications in peer-reviewed journals demonstrating expertise in the areas of computational biology, gene expression and drug discovery.
