Applications are invited for the position of Scientist I (Biology) at Ahammune Biosciences, Pune.

Ahammune Biosciences is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing first-in class therapeutics for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.  Ahammune has developed a pipeline of patented candidate drugs for vitiligo and other autoimmune/​​inflammatory diseases. The lead drug candidate is currently in the clinics undergoing phase 2 clinical trials for vitiligo in India.  Ahammune has a vibrant and research-focused laboratory in Pune and is currently expanding its in-house research operations.

Job Requirements/​Roles

1. Conduct experimental research in inflammatory/​autoimmune disease related to drug discovery and disease mechanisms
2. Conduct research using mammalian cells and animal models
3. Molecular and biochemical analysis
4. Expertise in data analysis using Microsoft Excel and statistical analysis, image analysis

Ph.D. with 1 – 2 years job/post-doc experience or M.Sc. with 5 – 8 years research experience in biological sciences/​biotechnology, or in a related field in academia/​ industry.

1. Expertise in cell biology, molecular biology, cell and animal models
2. Research articles in highly reputed journals.
3. Scientific writing including research reports/​articles
4. Data presentation

Desirable Requirements

1. Knowledge of inflammatory/​autoimmune diseases and mechanisms
2. Development and demonstrated use of cell-based and animal models
