Sumit Sen is a research scholar at TIFR Mumbai. Apart from inquisitively testing a hypothesis in the lab during work hours, art is the way of him escaping the stress, expressing his thoughts. This work, named "The Birth Element", illustrates the role of water in the progress of evolution. The first spark of life happened in water, which led to forming the first cell and later on to complex life forms. Even now the development of a fetus happens in amniotic fluid, a water-based substance.
