Leadership and management skills are critical for a successful career in science. The four-day course will introduce key academic leadership concepts and help participants develop their individual leadership styles, acquire key communication skills, learn to effectively select the right staff, and expand their support network for leadership issues in academia.

The principle of this course is ​“As much theory as necessary and as much practice as possible”. Therefore, practical exercises, in the form of role-play and discussion groups, that provide hands-on experience will be an integral aspect of the course.

Course 1: 13 – 16 September 2021, Online

Course 2: 15 – 18 November 2021, Online 

Eligibility:

To apply for participation in the Course, the applicant must be—

• Assistant or Associate Professor (or equivalent) in Life Sciences.
• Prepared to pay refundable advance of INR 10,000, if selected for the course. This fee will be refunded after the workshop to those who have attended the complete workshop.
