The RYIM Bengaluru, held from 28–30 November 2024, was the second Regional Young Investigators’ Meeting for the year 2024–2025, organised by four institutions in Bengaluru. The theme of the meeting was 'Accelerating Indian science through private investments.' In this article, the organisers highlight their experience of organising a regional YIM in Bengaluru.
The second conference of the Science Journalists’ Association of India (SJAI) was held during 4-5 December 2024 in IISER Pune. Built around the theme ‘The Underreported: Bridging Gaps in Science Journalism’, the meeting showcased a range of innovative engagements formats that fostered discussion and deliberation between journalists, communicators, and scientists.

Hosted by GITAM Deemed to be University (GITAM) and Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone Pvt. Ltd. (AMTZ), the event featured insightful workshops, networking sessions, and discussions on bridging the gap between research and medical technology development.

In rural Rajasthan, this outreach initiative addressed the issue of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) through 14 interactive workshops facilitated by the third IndiaBioscience Outreach Grants (IOG 3). Neha Jain, Associate Professor, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jodhpur, and her team educated students on microbiology and responsible antibiotic use, empowering young minds and fostering sustainable solutions to combat AMR.
