Centre for advanced research for neuromuscular genetic disorders: Clinical data-based disease modelling, molecular diagnostics, and mRNA based biotherapeutic technology platform

Profile

TIGS is a program driven research institute with a focus on solving pressing societal challenges. They are seeking applications from enthusiastic candidate to join as Project Scientist in ICMR funded muti institutional extramural program.

Roles and Responsibilities:

A) Program Development & Management:

  • Lead and manage the life cycle of various research programs from conception to implementation.
  • Develop frameworks for program execution, aligning them with program goals and objectives.
  • Monitor program performance, ensure timely delivery of milestones, and address any challenges that arise.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional, research ethics and funding body guidelines.

B) Grant Management & Funding:

  • Oversee grant proposals, including writing, submission, and reporting in alignment with funding agency requirements.
  • Track budget expenditures and manage financial aspects of grant-funded projects.
  • Prepare progress reports, presentations, and updates for investigators and funding agencies.
  • Ensure effective communication across research teams to drive collaboration and program coherence.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and events related to research programs.

Additional requirements:
An experience in program management, research management, or a related role within academia, industry, or research institutes. Proven ability to interact with multiple research groups, co-ordinate large project activities and aid in scientific and grant management. Fluency in scientific writing, long form and technical writing as well as making content for general public and various stakeholders including via imagery, artwork and infographics. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with an ability to work with diverse network of stakeholders. Ability to work independently and also as part of a team, with organizational skills and resourcefulness that enable completing work within a given timeline. Candidates with previous scientific or technological work done in the field of neuromuscular genetic disorders or related relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

Duration

Initially for one year.

Qualification

Doctorate degree in Science or Technology or Master’s/B. Tech degree in Science or Technology.

Experience

Preference will be given to the candidate with relevant experience.
