The JNU has openings for faculty positions for Indian Nationals & Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) at the level of Professor and Associate Professor. Applicants with good academic record, teaching/​research experience and working in related areas of research are encouraged to Apply. The university also solicits applications from candidates with research interests that are interdisciplinary.

1. Professors: Seven professor positions are advertised in the School of Life Sciences. The faculty members would require teaching core and optional subjects in the relevant subjects indicated below.

2. Associate Professors: Four positions are advertised in the School of Life Sciences. The faculty member would require teaching core and optional courses in the chosen area.

Apart from teaching, the appointed faculty members will establish their high standard research laboratories, and generate their own funding for running the lab by writing competitive extramural research grants from the National and International funding agencies, and contribute to School and University Administrations.

Money

  • Professor: Scale of Pay: (Academic Pay Level-14) Rs.1,44,200/-2,18,200/-
  • Associate Professor: Scale of Pay: (Academic Pay Level-13A) Rs. 1,31,400/- 2,17,100/-

Plus other allowances and benefits as per the UGC rule.
