Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (one position each) in the DBT funded Project titled ​“Engineering a Bispecific T‑cell Engager (BiTE) for combined immunotherapy with hCG-targeting immunotoxin in advanced-stage cancers“

The positions are purely temporary and will co-terminate with Project (duration 2 years). Motivated students may also register for a Ph.D. program, subject to fulfilling the admission requirements of the respective university. 

The project involves translational research in the field of cancer immunotherapy. Candidates are expected to have training and/​or experience in areas such as: Molecular biology, Recombinant protein expression (bacterial and mammalian systems), Protein purification and characterization, Cell culture techniques, Immunological assays, Animal handling and mice studies, etc.

Candidates should hold an M.Sc./M.Tech. degree in Biotechnology or any allied field of Life Sciences and fulfill the eligibility criteria as per DST guidelines (DST Memorandum No. SR/S9/Z‑08/2018 dated 30.01.2019).

Location: The positions will be onsite at Talwar Research Foundation, New Delhi. TRF was created as a Trust in 1982, and formally registered in 1998 as a non-profit Trust under Societies Registration act 1860 by Prof. G.P. Talwar, Founder-Director, National Institute of Immunology. TRF is a full-fledged Organization engaged in R&D. TRF undertakes mission-oriented research to translate a concept into a product of utility for mankind. Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Govt of India has recognized TRF as Scientific and Research Organization (SIRO). TRF is also recognized as a laboratory for research leading to PhD degree for scholars registered at various Universities.
