Applications are invited from Indian nationals with excellent academic and research background for the post of Project Scientist I (Non-medical) on an ICMR project.
Job description:
- Wet lab experiments pertaining to aging and circadian rhythms involving advanced molecular biology, metabolomics and proteomics techniques (Please see desired experience).
- Documentation, analysis, presentation of work, and manuscript writing.
- Any other work related to the project or as assigned by the PI/Co-PI
Duration
The appointment will be on a temporary basis for 12 months, starting as soon as possible and extendable for another 1 year based on the performance and availability of funding
Money
INR 56,000/- pm + 27% HRA
Qualification
- First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees
- Second Class Post Graduate Degree, including the Integrated PG degrees with PhD
Experience
Desirable: Candidates with PhD in any field of Biosciences with at least two 1st authored research publications in relevant prestigious (Q1) journals will be given priority.
Candidates with substantial (3 years and above) research experience in the following will be preferred.
• Mass-spectrometry-based proteomics and metabolomics(including data analysis)
• Drosophila maintenance, fly sorting, breeding, and behavioral activity and sleep assays
• Mammalian cell culture and drug assays
• Advanced microscopy and imaging techniques
• Aging and longevity assays
• Knowledge in programming languages (R and Python)
