Two positions are vacant for carrying out metabolic engineering research on algal strains to enhance biomass productivity and alter lipid content in the DBT-BioEnergy/ Mission Innovation program supported by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India; to contribute in the area of bioenergy using innovative synthetic and systems biology approaches.

2 – 3 years

Scales of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.

Eligibility:-MSc/​MTech in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Microbiology.GATE; CSIR NET – JRF/LS or DBT JRF Cat.I/II will be preferred.

Wet lab research experience is mandatory,for carrying genetic engineering and biotechnological research in photosynthetic organisms.
