This project aims to understand:

i. The participation of gp130 as a dual role-player at the same time to cause inhibition to the leukemic cells and aid in blood platelet recovery after thrombocytopenia.
ii. Thus through this analysis we can explore into the molecular mechanism for gp130 for platelet recovery after thrombocytopenia induced chemotherapy.
iii. Mutational impact on the associated proteins, which would hamper the interaction.
iv. To analyze the novel inhibitors for gp130 signaling. Using this mechanism, we shall attempt to screen other associated drugs based upon the structure of gp130

Total duration is 3 years.Initial appointment will be for 1 year and extendable each year, depending on satisfactory performance. Selected candidate will work in Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Kolkata and Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, University of Kalyani.

Rs 35,000/- + 24 % HRA will be provided to the selected candidate

M.Sc candidates should have Net-LS/GATE and at least two years research experience with at-least one SCI publication or M.Tech in Biotechnology/​Bioinformatics having Net – Ls/​GATE.

Preference shall be given to those candidates having experience in Molecular modeling, MD Simulation, In silico protein structure function studies
