About
YIM2022
The annual Young Investigators’ Meeting (YIM) brings together exceptional young and senior scientists, postdoctoral fellows, heads of institutions, and representatives from funding agencies for interactions focusing on science careers, mentoring, and networking. The YIM 2022 program is themed on the idea of “community”, the holistic ecosystem that nurtures and sustains scientific discovery. It will feature talks by Indian and international scientists, networking/breakout sessions, and panel discussions to address the importance of communities not just at the level of a PI’s lab but also at the level of institutes, science, and the public. COVID-19 has sharply brought into focus our need to work collectively and early career scientists can explore the potential of collaboration and allyship. This will also bring to the forefront discussion on topics, including mentorship, setting up a research group, interdisciplinary research, open science, and funding opportunities. Established scientists will describe their scientific journeys, sharing inspirational and amusing anecdotes about their experiences with younger scientists who are establishing their careers.
Young Investigators’ Meeting 2022 will be held in an online mode. Although it will not be possible for us to meet in person, the meeting has been designed in such a way that it will enable the participants to network and forge connections. It will also give them the opportunity to share their experiences and become a part of the larger scientific community, which the YIMs are already known to cater.
This year, there will be a PDF Satellite Meeting following soon after the YIM.
YIM 2022 is partially supported by Cactus Communications.
