The National Bio Entrepreneurship Competition (NBEC), a flagship event of the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C‑CAMP), is India’s largest and most prestigious national competition for bio entrepreneurs. NBEC aims to attract, identify and nurture deep science- driven business ideas that address India’s most pressing societal challenges in new, innovative, and commercially viable ways. The business ideas can be from any domain of Life Sciences, including healthcare, agri-biotech, animal health, environment, sustainability and industrial biotech.

Over the past eight editions, NBEC has established itself as a flagship platform in India. NBEC 2025, its 8^th Edition received more than 3100 registrations from across 34 states and union territories. NBEC 2025 provided a cumulative ₹40+ Crores INR in cash prizes and investment opportunities. The winners and finalists of NBEC have grabbed the attention of investors, have featured in national and global media, and have gone on to win many other accolades.

Eligibility:

NBEC is open to student teams, researchers, innovators, aspiring entrepreneurs, startups, small or medium biotech companies or anyone with a bright idea in any discipline of the life sciences.

• *NBEC 2026 has in store ₹20+ Crore in cash prizes and investment opportunities for winners, making it one of the biggest and most high-stakes platforms, in India’s bio startup domain.
• *Prize money of up to ₹10 lakhs for winners of student teams.
